Offering fire protection in a wide range of colours to complement its surroundings, a fire
shutter is the most effective way of greatly reducing or containing the spread of fire.
Designed to provide a fire resistance rating of up to 240 minutes with respect to the
integrity criteria of BS:476 Part 22 1987, as tested and assessed at B.R.E. Fire and Risk
Sciences Division. Available in polyester powder coating or standard galvanised finish.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
BARREL
Constructed from mild steel tube with helicoil counter balance springs mounted on mild steel shaft,
with mild steel bearing blocks at each end.
Incorporating high speed bearings. Tube and shaft size vary according to opening size.
CURTAIN
Constructed from 75mm wide curved interlocking galvanised steel lath
with mild steel endlocks and galvanised steel bottom rail.
SIDE GUIDES
Constructed from 3mm x 63mm channel incorporating drop bar guides.
Bolted to 75mm x 50mm mild steel angle.
OPERATION
Self Coiling, Handchain, or via electric motor connected to release mechanism.
